About Us

Vulnerability of children in Ghana

In Ghana, nearly 40% of the population consists of children under the age of 14, according to the Ghana Statistical Service. These children face significant socioeconomic challenges, including poverty, which disproportionately affects orphans and other vulnerable children. An estimated 61,000 children below age 18 live on the streets in the Greater Accra Region alone.
The impacts of HIV-related deaths have left approximately 220,000 children in Ghana orphaned, pushing them further into poverty, homelessness, poor nutrition, and lack of education. The absence of adequate care also exposes these children to violence, sexual exploitation, mental health issues, and risks of criminal behavior and drug abuse, jeopardizing their future aspirations.

Our Solution

In response to these challenges, Emmanuel Ametepey founded the Ambassadors for Christ International School (AfCIS)in 2022. Located in the heart of Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality in the Eastern Region, AfCIS is an accredited institution by the Ghana Education Service (GES). Our school offers holistic educational empowerment based on the GES curriculum, infused with faith-based actions and spiritual development. We started with just six students and have grown to over 120, providing a transformative educational journey from ages 3-15.

Faith-Based Action for Children.

The Church and faith-based organizations are vital in our mission, as they take a frontline role in child protection and family support. Inspired by James 1:27, AfCIS embodies faith, compassion, love, and empathy, teaching students to dedicate themselves to God and positively impact their community.
